Birthday cake
It was my mum and kazu's daughter yuka's birthday so we made cake and had birthday little party without birthday person ;)
We blew candles out, Lilly put birthday hat on, enjoyed little birthday party.

Oh such a mess when Connor got involved in our cooking....
We tried to draw on the cookies.
Didn't work at all but kids just loved doing it.
I tried to draw princess but it turned out like Starbucks icon!!

Lilly's knife
I got this kids knife from Japan. This is the sharpest knife in the house now.
Lilly likes it and she can use it so well too.
We made spring rolls with alots of veggies.
Kids love it.

AuntyM's
AuntyM invited us for their party with her family because she knew scott was in Toronto and we were home on Sunday without him.
We had such a nice time, spend time with her cousin, their children and grand children. All of them are just so nice.
To go to AuntyM's, normally we have to walk abt 3-4mins to get there if we don't climb up our wall, but auntyM told us this shortcut path.
Walk through someone's house. Then we can get there in 2 mins. A lot easier for us so we have done that several times but we never seen this house owner since they are living in manhattan and only be there on the weekends.
Then last Sunday as we were walking through, the house owner Joseph saw us and came out. He introduced his wife Joanna to us, she gave Lilly the ice cream. They are again both so nice. Said we can walk through anytime.
It was good we could meet them finally because before we met them, I was kind of feeling guilty to walk through someone's property without permission. Even auntyM asked them before for us.
We are very lucky to have these nice neighborhood here. And to know them it's all auntyM's power ;) she introduced us all of them. She is really awesome.

Veggie
To give the kids more vegetables, I used spring roll paper for the instant pizza dough, put alots of veggies and covered with cheese. For pizza sauce, I used tuna tomato spaghetti sauce leftovers. Recycle but kids ate it so well.

Food and kids schedule
Kids eat so well when daddy's not home. They concentrate to eat. When daddy's home, they prefer playing with him so they don't concentrate for food.
I want to put them in bed by 8:00 so from 4:00 is like a war.
Cook, dinner, clean up, feed dogs , let dogs out and in for toilet, kids bath, read, sleep.
I have my dinner after 9:00 alone.
It's good or not, lilly and connor need to be on schedule everyday. I am always rushed by following these schedules.
Gotta give them breakfast by 9:00, lunch at 12:00, connors nap 1:00, snack by 4:00.
If I break this, kids go melt...cranky grumpy, make me crazy.
Feels like i am cooking all day.....that my mum and grandma used to say to me. its funny I feel like that now.

Lilly never begged for toys, she didn't know how. But she'd been asking me for this pink barbie computer since we came back from Japan. Had no idea what she's talking about but my mum said Lilly might watched it on tv in Japan and asked my mum to buy.
I thought I should wait to give it to her till Xmas but she was dreaming about it everyday, my mum said go ahead buy it.
It was delivered on wed.
Connor got a baby ones too :(
Lilly's laptop was way too difficult for her age (made it for 5-8yo) and we are not used to have these plastic toys so I found it it's sooo annoying. Lilly wasn't sure if this was really she wanted either.
I was going to return it but after while Lilly was getting how to use it.
Now she's learning typing. Now she knows back space and delete, some letters position.
It's not a great toy, I wouldn't buy it if Lilly didn't ask but Lilly feels she's so grown up to have her own pink laptop, I think it wasn't too bad. She can use it for another 5 years. I hope :)

Saturday without daddy
It's cold outside so the pool was not good idea. I set up the water table, so kids can play with water without wetting. Wrong. They were wet all over ;)
We made a ship and boat and 2 persons with milk carton and plastic containers.
Kids had a fun.
It's so interesting that they love homemade or natural toys more than plastic fantastic toys. Plastic fantastic toys are good for 10mins. They get very excited and play at the first time but doesn't last long.

Been cold!!!!
Can't believe it's this cold now here. A couple of days ago it was hell hot!
Kids wanted to go outside wearing rainboots and umbrella. They came back said its too cold outside! It's July tho ;(
I can spend time with Lilly only when Connors having a nap.
We do make stuffs together often. Afternoon snacks or easy craft.

Since daddy's away for his biz trip, I feed the kids fish more often.

Friday class
Feel guilty that I don't pay for Connor for this class. He's a visitor, Lilly is a student but Connor does more than lilly here. The teachers welcome him and said don't worry about paying for Connor yet so it's very nice.

Lillys first time swing. Can you believe it? Shes such a monkey climbs up everywhere but not swing. Shes scared. This day she got on but didn't want me to push so Connor was much higher than her.
We can put sprinkler on when we want. We ask rec center ppl to turn it on. Kids have so much fun with sprinkler.
