Potty training

It's not easy for Lilly.
Success like 50/50.
She knows now how to do it but timing is still hard to find I guess.

We will take time and go slow.

She likes to correct stickers she can get when she goes to potty. I made a chart but sticker is over 10years old!!
I bought so many picture books when I was in Brisbane. Thought I might want to open kids English class in Japan. It didn't happen but now Lilly reads all the books and I found some stickers in book so we are using it as a reward for potty training. I never thought I use it for my own child when I bought them.

Great that Lilly still enjoys them.

Cooking

Lilly made some chocolate cake and brown rice crackers.
She always wants to help me with cooking. Hope she can serve me nice breakfast in near future ;)

Lilly taught Connor how to use salad spinner today. Lilly is so good to Connor almost all the time ;)

I decided to use Scott's iron tea pot my mum got for him for his birthday last year. I heard you can get good iron in your body if you boil water for tea with that.
It's heavy but looks very pretty.

Too crowded

Got new bed for dogs.

But everyone wanted to get on so it was very crowded :)

Snow

We had a bit of snow last Saturday.
Lilly and dogs had fun outside but it didn't last long. Monday we had rain so it's all gone now.

We made some cool/hot packs for activity.

Lilly can sew! Hope she becomes like her nanny. I am terrible with sawing but still try sometimes for Lilly ;)

Sew little bags and put rice in it. You can put them in freezer and use it for icing body or heat it up in microwave and put in pocket or under the blanket to warm you. Put it on shoulders feeling good.

Boy...

Connor bumped his head outside to the blocks.

Boys are scary....

He is ok now. Scar is almost gone. I put caster oil on it and it seems it did good work on scars.

You should do internet search about caster oil. There are bunch of great stories about it. I forced my mum to buy one for herself too ;)

Birthday party

We went to the 1year old baby birthday party on Sunday in the city.

I heard they spent over $3000 on this party. Crazy but it was fun for us.
It was more like a wedding.
Had catering foods drinks, entertainers for kids, Lilly got some painting on her hand. She touched the real rabbit. Some character from TV came. Got balloon Ariel the mermaid. It was fun.

It's Connors birthday this weekend but obviously we are not going to spend $3000 and I haven't made any plan for it.

Maybe special dinner and cake at home. Have to think about it. I think Connor has enough toys so the presents are not necessary.....I think :)

Girl friends

Amy took us to the nice book store with play area for kids. Barnes & novels. I think you have been there in city.

Remi and Lilly were so good each other. running around, read books, had a great time.

We first met them at library. Since then Amy the mum of 4, taking us to everywhere.
She puts Lilly and Remi in stroller and baby was in there too so she was pushing stroller 3 kids in it while we were doing shopping. She is pretty strong. Her hobby is a marathon she runs for an hour and half everyday. Amazing.

Wooly sheep

Sorry I haven't been able to put new diary for a while.

Will do a couple of new stories today.

I made a little sheep from wool.
Lilly was so looking forward to having it, took me 2.5hours to make it but I did it little by little sat on beside Lilly so it took me 3 days to finish.

Lilly knows I made it so she carries it so gentle with care.

I still have some more wool so might try making panda next.

We went to school today. Guess what happened there...
I locked the car with key inside....

Scott had important meeting this morning so we left home earlier than usual so he can get to the office on time but I locked the car and everything was in the car, he couldn't get in, the locksmith didn't come for almost 2hours, scott missed meeting, it was a terrible terrible happening.

I learned I should be very careful with locks(my bag hit the lock when I got out and I just closed the door)

Other mums were saying it happens and you learn so don't worry but I felt so bad for scott.

Its 2:00pm here, kids are sleeping.

Hope my bad luck is ending now ;(

Day 3

Lilly has said good bye to nappies on Sunday...today is Tuesday but she hasn't succeed only once. Hmmm seems it takes for a while she get to know how to use potty.

She loves her  Disney princess undies Kazu bought and send them to her as a gift from Japan.

Yesterday we made some pizza for lunch.

Can't eat delivery pizza anymore. Homemade pizza is too yummy. Kids doesn't like chunky vegetables on it so I always chop them(bell pepper, onion, mashroom, olive) and mix with tomato sauce so kids eat very well. This time I did half & half. Vegetable pizza and fruits pizza.

Lilly loved fruits pizza. I put banana and apples on cream cheese. Added a tiny bit of honey on top.
I don't have to feel guilty at all when kids eats my pizza. Pizza normally has junk food image and I don't like them to eat it from store but its actually very healthy. Whole wheat flour, alots of vegetables and cheese. Fruits pizza is something like a treat for them :)

Kids always laugh each other at the table. Its really cute to see.

I make this soup often. I use any vegetables and cook in water till its tender. Add some cooked brown rice then use blender to make it smooth. Add some milk or soy-milk or heavy cream. A bit of salt. Yum!
Today I used daikon radish, broccoli stem, carrots, celery, pumpkin, onion, cabbage and a bit of apple. 7 kinds of veggies+apple and brown rice. We stopped using soup stock or cube bouillon anymore. To avoid chemicals :) We all love this soup.

We had a very cold winter last year but not this year. Haven't seen heavy snow yet. Might be snowing this weekend according from my iphone information :)

We made Lilly's crown today.

Lilly just love being a princess.

Hope she soon can go to the toilet by herself. (Also wonder if I should have started a bit later like from April when she become 3yo. it would be much easier for her to understand what we are trying to teach her...oh well, will see how it goes for a while without nappy :) )

Ok, i am going to bed now. Connor is crying upstairs...;( Can you believe I haven't slept through the night since Lilly was born! Wish I could get non stop 8 hours sleep but I don't think I can do that anymore. I am too used to this lifestyle and I am very fine!

Good night Nanny and Pops.

Days without TV

I just completely lost what I wrote here!!! goooooooosh will try again.

Found Kids in the bathroom. Connor climbed up there. so scary.

My new friend Amy took us to shopping. 60%OFF sale!
Got 3 Ralph Lauren clothes for kids for $38! Over $110 value.

Lilly dressed up and became so girly girl. She's on the phone talking like a teenager. Legs are crossed. So funny.

We went to Japanese Steiner class yesterday to see if its good. It was good, less people, easier to communicate with others for me. We have to decide which class we go from next week. Japanese or English. Lilly seems she's ok with both.

After the class we went to Friday's for lunch. The American family restaurant.

Lilly and Daddy doing coloring.

Lilly acts like adult sometime. Funny to watch her.
We don't eat out often anymore, we found we can eat better at home and its cheaper! but Scott's friend Joe gave him a voucher for this place as a gift so we went there for lunch. That was nice. (food was ok ;) )

Since we stopped watching TV (its been more than 2weeks!) we make things alot. Lilly's imagination play is amazing. I don't have my time at all. I don't play with them all the time but kids want to do same thing what I do, try to help/interrupt a lot. Which is ok. So much better than feeling guilty from letting them watch TV while I am doing something.

Making whole grain bread for tea.

She still LOVE wearing this dress you gave her when she was under 1 year old.

Made animal shape bread. Bear, Rabbit, Flower, Turtle, Elephant, Face. Its all Lilly's idea.

Today is Saturday but Scott was out for his Systema seminar so we had lunch without Daddy.

I let Lilly to serve soup always. She loves doing it and she eats so well.
Tomato and tuna pasta. Corn soup. Lilly made bread :)

Lilly eats pasta using folk, twist it and eat beautiful. Pretty amazing for her age I think :)

Connie wants to use spoon and folk now...he likes sitting on Lilly's chair too. He's a great eater.

We make things together alot but today I let them to clean the kitchen for today's activity! it worked well. Kitchen is clean kids are happy!! YEY!

Made something with felt too. Put cotton in there and

Made fishing toy!

Lilly did some painting too. She loves painting.

hmmm thats all for tonight. Lilly wants to dance with me now. and after that we all have to go grocery shopping. Scott just got home from training.

We will see you on skype tomorrow.

Hope you enjoyed today's post!!
