Central park Sunday

We went to the central park last Sunday. I really wanted to go to the city to do some shopping(no money so no real shopping. just wanted to walk and have a look around the shops for fun) Obviously its NOT something Scott really like to do. But I asked him to take me, he wasn't really interested in but he said ok we gotta leave home in 12mins if you want to go. Impossible. So I gave up. Then Scott decided to take us to the central park instead of shopping. He thought of me and decided to take us. but it was wrong idea!!! I wasn't happy, I thought oh my I am in the city now but no shops, just trees!!!! I am so close to the shops but we are not going to the shops. Just trees that I see everyday in Rockville centre!!!!

Well 3 of them except me was happy so it was good after all.

For your information, this fashionable guy is not Brad Pitt. Its our Daddy Scotty. Can you see the difference of his clothes taste from 15years ago and now????? Amazing improvement!!! All brand name clothes too. Scott is your son Lynn!

I just realized I can go to the city with my friends or go just by myself anytime on the weekend if Scott look after kids. So exciting to do that!!!

2yo can cook can sew!

Some sewing activity today. Made Daffy's(Mickey mouse's teddy bear that Minnie mouse made it for Mickey) dress. Lilly is pretty good at it.

Then cooking for dinner. 

She made her favorite pumpkin soup.

Made Japanese popular character necklace too. Lilly didn't sew this, she used glue.

Nice day but no school

Amazing Zeus and Ashta has their own room. Even sofa and bed and toy box.

No Steiner school this week. Due to winter break. So we went to the park instead.  I didn't use the stroller. Put Connor in my backpack and Lilly just ran to the park. so easy to go out walking with Lilly. 

In the afternoon, we made a coin slot machine. Just put coins in to the small coin slot in the paper cups. Kind of Connor's first activity. He loved it. He did it again and again. 

Really nice to play outside now. Love our backyard!

Rainy Friday playdough day

It was raining all day. I baked some bread in the morning and made strawberry jam to save some half rotten strawberries. 

Then made some play dough too. Using eatable colors. 

Connor can join Lilly's activity alot now.

To avoid him to eat the play dough, I put alots of salt in it. He tasted straight away and noticed its yucky. He then pretended to eat but didn't eat. Good learning!

Today's afternoon snack. Pumkin and cranberry donuts cake. I just made up the recipe so I never be able to make the same one again.

Their new play called "Friends". Saying "friends~" in japanese then give each other hug.  Pretty pretty :)

Connor fall asleep when he was having lunch yesterday. It was so funny.

Connor's first BENTO

Since Connor started to need more attention from me, i haven't had chance to make bento(lunch box) for Lilly but I made it for both of them the other day.

I was going to finish it but Lilly wanted to help me so I let her to finish hers.

I just put everything on the plate so Lilly can pick and pack.

She never make mess. Pink lunch box Lilly packed by her self.

Yellow one is for Connor. His first Bento.

Connor opened the lunch box and showed us full of happy & surprise face :)

Lilly packed it and knows whats inside but she still does that happy surprise face too when she opens the box :)

They love playing outside. We are blocking the stairs to the tree house to avoid Zeus to go up. Zeus really wants to go up....he cries alot to ask me to remove the chair.......

Lilly's favorite snack - animal shape donuts. 

I just drop the dough into the oil with spoon and don't know what shape we can make. Lilly names every donuts, camel, rabbit, seahorse, turtle, pig.  She's pretty good.

Macky's designed stress ball was on famous drama in Japan. I watched it and searched on the internet to see how many people was interested in this product after watching this TV. I found so so so many comments, blogs saying "where can I get this funny thing?!" " I want to buy them!" I told Macky this is going to be very famous and you can sell more and more! She wasn't really interested in it..She's funny. I think that's why I like her.

This Tuesday was Valentine's day. I got some cute presents and card. Last year I got my iphone when you were here!!!!

We had a nice Valentine's day dinner at home. Party 2 nights! Me and Lilly made some chocolate cake and chocolate cookies for Daddy. I was too tired, didn't take any photos that night!!

They love eating...feel like I am always in the kitchen cooking for them!

Home made junks food :) 

Connor started to use spoons and folks good.

I used to think Japanese pumpkins are good to make soup but I was wrong. This butternut squash is the best for soup!!! Kids love it. No milk or soup stock added. Just onion and butternut and water. pinch of salt. Great food!! Lilly's eating homemade french bread with home made raspberry jam on it.

Our great gym in basement

You know we have 2 of this. one in Scott's room and one in basement. I never used it before but started to use it now. its pretty good.

 

While I am doing bike exercise kids are play by themselves.

After the fun time in basement, its lunch time! This vegetable pancake must be so good for kids health.  I put butternut squash, carrots, spinach...made pancake mix with brown rice flour. 

Lilly made this cocoa cake by herself in 5mins. Put egg and flour, cocoa, brown suger and baking powder in the mug cup, mix well and cook it in microwave for 2mins. Great quick and fun snacks for kids.

Daddy's 41st birthday party

So after Daddy's traumatic 40th birthday last year, this year had to be different from that!!!

Well still difficult for me to do it perfectly like Shelley does, I can only cook and make something special for him.

Daddy's birthday cake was white chocolate short cake. Shape from this book. 

I am so bad drawing but anyway I draw and cut LISA shape.

And this is Lisa :)

We made a card and for the soap lover daddy, my mum gave him some natural soaps and I gave him lucky horseshoe with St. Michael picture in it. (Scott's holly name)

I think we could do so much better than last year. We had a great time :)

Lilly gave daddy presents saying "Happy birthday Daddy!!".

That made daddy feel so special I am sure.
