Girls day

Just found girls day explanation in English.

March 3rd is celebrated as the Girl's Day, or the Festival of Dolls. People display graceful dolls in ancient court costumes on a tier of 5 or 7 shelves covered with scarlet cloth. These dolls represent the Emperor and Empress, the court ladies, the ministers and the court musicians. The girls are expected to be as elegant as these courtly ladies.
Young girls wear their beautiful Kimono and get together before the display and have a good time, eating sweet rice crackers (Hina arare) and drinking white sake (Shirozake). It isalso known as the Peach Festival.

My dolls in Japan.

Lilly has seen it when she was almost 1

but I wanted to show her in here as well so decided....

Make one.
I looked for paper craft on the internet and found the perfect one! Printed out and stick together, DONE! (it was a bit hard for me because I am terrible at crafting!!)

Lilly said "Mummy you are great!" (in Japanese)

Had party dinner

And cake. Cheese cake. Character decorated whipped cream on.
Lilly helped to put the berries while we were talking to you on skype.

Lilly was so happy to have this cake and it was good. The night before, I had to make it midnite after kids sleep, i was drawing it and baking it then Connor woke up and didn't go back to sleep so I held him doing kitchen work at 2:00am!!! I have sore arm still now ;( Connor's teething again...
Lilly loves Salmon sashimi!!!! I love it too!!

Had good Girls day dinner ;)
